How do I adjust a treadmill running belt?
With the treadmill off, use the Allen key that came with the machine to turn the two rear-roller bolts. Turn each bolt a quarter turn clockwise to tighten and align the belt, then power on at 5 km/h and check that the belt tracks in the centre. Repeat quarter-turn adjustments on whichever side is drifting until the belt runs straight.
How do I tighten a loose treadmill belt?
A belt is too loose if you can lift it more than 5–7 cm off the deck at the centre, or if it slips when you step. Turn both rear-roller bolts one quarter turn clockwise, then walk on the belt at 5 km/h. Keep tightening in quarter-turn increments on both sides equally until the slip stops — do not over-tighten, as that wears the motor and rollers.
How often should I lubricate a treadmill belt in the UAE?
In the UAE's dry, dusty climate we recommend applying 100% silicone treadmill lubricant every 40–50 hours of use, or roughly every 3 months for home users. Commercial machines in gyms should be lubricated monthly. Lift the belt at the centre, apply silicone along the underside on both sides of the deck, then walk on it at low speed for 2–3 minutes to spread it evenly.
What lubricant should I use on a treadmill belt?

Why does my treadmill belt move to one side?
The belt drifts when one rear roller is tighter than the other. Turn the bolt on the side the belt is drifting towards a quarter turn clockwise (or turn the opposite side a quarter turn anticlockwise) with the treadmill running at 5 km/h. Repeat until the belt tracks in the centre. If the belt keeps drifting after adjustment, the deck or rollers may be worn and need replacement.
When should I replace the treadmill belt instead of adjusting it?
Replace the belt if you see fraying edges, cracks, a hard glazed surface, black rubber dust under the deck, or if the belt slips even after correct tightening and lubrication.
